Runway Visual Range (RVR)

Runway Visual Range System PEP9012

Presentey's PEP9012 uses forward-scatter technology to provide fully compensated visibility measurement for aviation and meteorological use in a wide environmental range. Safety of flight demands the most accurate and highest performing sensor on the market today. Installed throughout all civilian and military airports in Canada and at major international installations, the PEP9012 meets all your aviation needs.

The PEP9012 system is comprised of a VISibility Sensor(VIS), Visibility and Ambient Light Integrated Control Electronics (VALICE), Sensor Interface Panel (SIP), RVR computer and software, and a Runway Light Interface unit (RLI). The VIS, VALICE, and SIP are mounted on a frangible tower specially designed to reduce damage to aircraft and passengers in the event of colision. The system features a unique 4-head sensor design for increased error detection and data integrity, enabling the RVR system to continue operating when one sensor fails. The RVR computer features GUI-based monitoring and reporting software.
